At the 10th of october 2009 the time has come. In the course of the Tour de Tirol 2009, the Kaisermarathon is the location for the world long distance mountain running challenge. The Kaisermarathon already takes place for the 4th time and goes 42.195 km and over 2000 highmeter mainly through the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser. Course record holder is the 6 times mountain running world champion Jonathan Wyatt who absolved the course in 3h and 3 min. The womans bestlist is headed by the tyrolean triathlete Monika Feuersinger in 4h and 6 min.

We are pleased that we succeed to get the world long distance mountain running challenge to Tirol, and we will do our best to prepare course, catering, organisation and supporting programme as perfect as usual, so that the 10th of october will become an unforgettable experience for all.

Tour de Tirol means of course not only the Kaisermarathon but also, Alpbachtaler Zehner (10 km run) and Kaiserwinkl Halbmarathon (halfmarathon). And which runner does not want to run one or even all three stages within
the world championship. Running like a world champion is our motto during those three days.
