The course of the World LDMR challenge 2009. The start of the Highlight of the Tour de Tirol, the Kaisermarathon Söll (26,2 miles), takes place in the beautiful village center of Söll. Further it goes via Scheffau, Ellmau, the Ski-region Wilder Kaiser towards the finish at the top of the “Hohe Salve” (1.829m sea level).

42,195 km, 2160 hm - mountain marathon from Söll via Scheffau and Ellmau with finish at the top of the Hohe Salve

Time limit: All participant who don't pass "Hexenwasser" until 4.00 pm (km 38,6), have to stop there and cannot finish the race.

• Course details:

A varied and flat course westwards until Alpenschlössl, then again through the village centre of Söll to the Panoramabad, further on cycle tracks via Scheffau to Ellmau to the valley station of the cable Railway.
From here on steep mountain roads and hiking trails until the Rübezahlalm, further on alp trails passing the Jägerhütte until the Panoramarestaurant Bergkaiser.
Then on hiking trails to Tanzboden from there on less steep and falling route via Eibergalm and Holzalm till Filzalmsee and then further unto Hexenwasser. From Hexenwasser the route continues over partly narrow and steep hiking trails unto the top of the Hohe Salve.
In case of extreme bad weather conditions, the organiser reserves the right to change the route as from Hexenwasser, latest 30 min. before the start .

• Special personal needs and luggage delivery:

hand in until for Elite-runners latest 10.15 at the Start in Söll separate marked for Cable Railway in Ellmau (21 km) and Hexenwasser (38,6 km)
Transport of personal clothing from start to the finsih is organized. Runners should left bags with clothing latest at 10:15 at the start.(pavilion for personal needs and luggage)

• Return transport:
  

with cable car free of charge, thence a 5 minutes walk to the Pavilion and to massage/showers in the Panoramabad

You are requested to park at the cable car station at Söll (follow the shields)
