KAISERMARATHON
The Kaisermarathon is the highlight of the Tour de Tirol and ranks among the most demanding and most beautiful marathon courses in the world. Starting in the village center of Söll, the route leads through breathtaking landscapes, across alpine trails and scenic paths — always accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Wilder Kaiser — all the way to the finish at the summit of the Hohe Salve.
A truly unique running experience that perfectly combines athletic challenge, nature, and emotion.
COURSE
The Kaisermarathon starts in the village center of Söll and initially leads to the Alpenschlössl, before returning through the village center. The route then continues across meadows and trail paths via Scheffau to Ellmau, reaching the Rübezahlalm. From there, the course follows alpine pastures and hiking trails, passing the Jägerhütte on the way to the Panoramarestaurant Bergkaiser. The route continues along hiking trails to the Tanzboden, then past the Jochstubensee to the Filzalmsee, and onward to the Hexenwasser. The final section runs along partly narrow and steep hiking trails to the finish at the summit of the Hohe Salve.
The course is signposted year-round. In the event of extremely poor weather conditions, the organizer reserves the right to modify the course.
